Dr. Lakshmi Bala
Dr. Lakshmi Bala, M.Sc. (Biochemistry), Ph.D. , Pool Scientist, Joined CBMR in 2002. Basic training in mycobacterial culture, protein purification, tissue culture, lymphocyte proliferation and cytokine assays etc. Post-doctoral work in CDRI, Lucknow and IPBS, Toulouse, France. Contributed significantly in structural elucidation of mannoconjugates and liposome encapsulation of peptide epitope of M. tuberculosis and its immunological characterization. Currently working on application of NMR on body fluids viz. urine, upper gut aspirate, bile, ascitic fluid, synovial fluid, serum for diagnosis and understanding pathophysiology of various diseases viz. malabsorption syndrome, ascites, biliary obstruction, arthritis etc.

Dr. K. Jayalakshmi

Jayalakshmi. K has been working at CBMR since sep 2006. She has been actively involved in NMR method development for the measurement of small bowel permeability and metabolic profiling in transgenic and wild type tobacco plants. She is working in the area of gall bladder diseases associated with stone formation. She has been published 9 research papers in international journals.

Dr. Sanjay Annarao Mulge

Sanjay Annarao has been involved in biomedical and plant science research since sep 2006 in the area of Nuclear magnetic resonance imaging and high resolution NMR spectroscopy. He has been worked in exploring Lipid profiling of developing Jatropha curcas Lin. seeds and Correlation of Age-related Metabonomic changes in serum and urine of rats. He has been working for Al+3 induced Alzheimer’s disease and chromium nanoparticle distribution study in rat model by micro imaging and NMR spectroscopy.

Ms. Pratima Tripathi
 Pratima Tripathi is working as a Senior Research Fellow at CBMR in the field of Metabonomics. She has done her M.Sc. in Chemistry (specialization in Inorganic Chemistry) from University of Lucknow in 2003. She is actively involved in NMR studies of biofluids in gastrointestinal and heart disease patients. She has worked on diagnosis and pathophysiology of Malabsorption Syndrome patients, on NMR studies of bile in obstructive jaundice, cholestasis and infection patients and in the studies following decompression therapy, in the NMR study of assessment of Fulminant Hepatic Failure and Liver Transplant patients and on NMR study of serum and pericardial fluid specimens of congenital and acquired heart disease patients. She has published three research papers upto now.

Ms. Shatakshi Srivastava
Shatakshi Srivastava, a post graduate in Organic chemistry (University of Lucknow, 2004-06 session) is working as Research Trainee at the CBMR. She has been working on Quantitative analysis of various biofluids in diseased state, applying NMR spectroscopy.

Ms. Kanchan Sonkar

Kanchan Sonkar, a post graduate in Bioinformatics (University of Allahabad, 2003-05 session) is working as Junior Research Fellow at the CBMR. She has been working on Solid State NMR studies on bacteriophage pf1 and Statistical analysis of NMR Spectroscopic data  by developing new algorithms.
