Data Sciences

Welcome to the Data Science department at CBMR, where we transform high-dimensional biological complexity into clinically actionable insights by serving as the computational engine driving the next generation of AI in healthcare research. We do not simply analyze data; we decode the language of life by integrating multiomics—genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics—with cutting-edge artificial intelligence to bridge the gap between molecular biology and translational medicine. Our work spans the full spectrum of disease, from pioneering an AI-guided single-cell atlas for early cancer biomarkers that maps the tumor microenvironment cell by cell to catch malignancies at their earliest, most treatable stage, to deploying specialized CANCER bioinformatics pipelines that integrate genomic and proteomic data for uncovering driver mutations and resistance mechanisms. In chronic and fibrotic diseases, we focus on identifying early biomarkers for fibrotic lung disease to halt progression before irreversible damage occurs, leveraging longitudinal multiomics to predict disease onset rather than simply diagnose it. Simultaneously, we tackle infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance through AI-powered drug repurposing for flaviviruses such as Dengue and Zika, alongside structure-based inhibitor discovery for AMR, rapidly identifying novel therapeutic candidates from existing drugs and designing precision inhibitors against resilient pathogens. Underpinning all of these efforts is our deep expertise in bioinformatics, disease modeling, and network biology, allowing us to build predictive models of cellular ecosystems, simulate disease progression in silico, and map intricate protein-protein and gene-regulatory networks. From single cells to systemic pathologies, the Data Science department at CBMR is where algorithms meet biology to redefine what is possible in precision medicine.
